Taste This aka Tom is an organiser, NHS worker and lover of all things creative.

As a co-founder of the New Animals alongside @jaymustheartist and @from.artst, he works tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure the wheels are turning and New Animals events run smoothly! 

He grew up between on the border of Burnage and Levenshulme and was raised in an extremely creative household. He believes in experiencing as much creativity as possible, be that gigs, raves, theatre, art galleries, photography, spoken word, and comedy. 

He wants the New Animals Collective to be a force that platforms Manchester based creatives and supports venues that are important to the fabric of Mancunian culture.

Manchester’s rising producer/rapper is making waves in the UK Hip Hop scene with his unmatched bars and rapping abilities. Whether he appears on stage as BatFunk, mesmerising with a multi-skilled live show of rapping and beatboxing or producing under his beat making moniker Mo Green; he is sure to deliver a dynamic that is rarely seen with such multitalented finesse.

Hot on the heels of his recent performance at Manchester’s O2 Apollo with Assa & Pro P for the Music Feeds live charity concert, BatFunk has been tearing up shows all over Manchester, from street parties, to theatres, studios and the radio.

Hailing from Foggia in the south of Italy, Krioso has been immersed in music since childhood. 

His inspiration comes from a wide variety of genres, but it was electronic music that truly ignited his passion. Starting with Big Beat and Breakbeat, he's evolved to explore Afro music and various forms of House and Tech. His music and mixes are eclectic and genre-defying, as he constantly strives to push boundaries and experiment with new sounds.

Jumbled is a producer and DJ from the Isle of Man, living a creative and vibrant life here in Manchester. Raised by visual artists and fuelled by an exploration of sound, he seeks to combine genres and styles using playful and experimental methods. Never a dull moment - come boogie with a sonic painter .

FRISKO @friskomcr

Manchester based Frisko has been rapping since the end of his high school days. He’s known for MCing and hosting various music events across the UK and abroad, such as GC Live and Good Vibes Only. 

Frisko spends most of his time making and releasing music. He recently released his debut album ‘All The Way In’ in 2023 on Room 2 Records. Produced by heavy hitting producer Kydro, who runs Room 2. 

He’s no stranger to a rap battle, a number of which went viral, with one ending up on BBC 3!

He’s now working on his second album, which is almost ready for release. With various other projects and singles with some exciting collaborations in the mix, keep your eyes and ears out!

NATHAN KALANI @nathankalani

Originally from Cornwall, Kalani is a manchester based DJ / producer whose sound draws influence from a large array of genres from across the decades of dance music. 

Whilst his recent productions veer more into the progressive side of electronic music, his sets shift naturally between house, techno, electro and breakbeat. With a common theme of emotive melodies, trippy synth-work, and punchy percussion, his sound is already distinctive. 

He's played at venues all around manchester such as Hidden, YES, Stage & Radio and more.

DONNIE DANKO @donniedankomusic

Hailing from North Manchester Donnie Danko is becoming an all too familiar face on the Manchester Hip Hop scene. 

He’s been consistently smashing gigs across the North West this year, from open mics to headline sets and of course you’ll catch him anywhere a spontaneous cypher breaks out. 

Donnie found himself influenced by the old school boombap Hip Hop, and began mixing it with the UK sound. With the infamous Mancunian wit and humour thrown in, Donnie’s clear and precise style is plain to see. 

Keep an out for his soon to be released debut EP “No Smoke Without Fire”. It’s not to be missed! 

TOMOBBIT @tomobbit

Formerly known as ‘Hobbit’, Ohbit has been DJing for over 17 years. 

Cutting his teeth at club nights and the northwest freeparty scene in the late 2000’s and early 2010s, Ohbit brings an eclectic selection of music no matter the vibe. 

Ranging from reggae to house and dubstep, drum n bass and gabba/hard-tek with a few cheeky bits in-between, Ohbit plays a variety of music he loves and music others will love too. 

With residences at Cataclysm, Badwax Audio over in Preston, and the late Cryptic Fusion crew based in Manchester, he's no stranger to the craft and knows how to pull a good selection.
